You too can go green in Pacifica City!
Time to extend the Papatoetoe – Transit Oriented Development via introducing the sub district of Papatoetoe West. What is so special about Papatoetoe West? The Organic Commercial, and Self-Sufficient Residential District Policies were enabled?
WHAT? It means houses are eco-friendly, and commercial sell organic and/or sustainable goods. Anyway, check it out as Pacifica City’s first Transit Oriented Development continues to expand with great success. Also, come at take a ride on one of the biofueled buses!
What? Going Green?
That was the real estate spiel for those wanting a lower impact style of urban living while still enjoying the benefits of being in a city!
In Cities Skylines 1, two of the district classes you can select (different from policies and styles) are; Self-Sufficient Residential, and Organic/Local Produce.
The industry equivalent is the Industry 4.0 policy which forces industry to focus on Digital Era industries.
In any case when you combine these two green options for residential and commercial, add in parks, cycle infrastructure, bus lanes, biofuel buses, e-cars, charging stations, and of course transit itself you can create your own little slice of eco-paradise in your cities.
And this is what Papatoetoe West became. A sub-district tied into the Papatoetoe Transit Oriented Development scheme promoting a low impact style of living even while inside a growing city!
And if you missed out on your chance to work or live in Papatoetoe West, do not worry as Stage 2 is being delivered, while more districts will be carved out as eco-districts!
