Manukau Ranges has an Airport Line (two actually), but Auckland IRL does not
This city is built using the Volchoria Map from @paradoxinteractive Mods: Volchoria Map
Each blog post will contain either:
- The standard X.X series where I undertake City Building along with talking Planning Methodology.
- The Manukau Rides X.X series where I jump on the transit system and travel around. Often used to see where problems might occur best seen at ground level.
Two Airports, One City Centre, TWO AIRPORT LINES! Manukau Rides 5.0
Time to engage in my favourite pastime in #citiesskylines and #citiesskylines2 – riding my public transport services! Not only because dropping down to ground level will indicate problem areas, but also the 🙂 (or 🙁) from seeing your creation first hand is just something else!
Two Airports, One City Centre, TWO AIRPORT LINES! In The Little Town that Could: Huntly Grows up! Manukau Ranges. A #CitiesSkylines2 Story. Part 4.x we took the train from the regional airport up in Manukau Heights to the City Centre and back again. In this post and video we take another train to the City Centre, this time from the international airport in the south-east! Because why bother with the car and $50/day parking when you can pay just $3 and take the train from the Airport to the City Centre!
Airport Lines are your trusty friend!
Welcome to Manukau Ranges, I hope the flight was pleasant. Let us allow your journey to continue to be pleasant by taking a congestion free and painless way to the City Centre. From there you can transfer to other trains, the subway, trams, or buses to get to your final destination!
Enjoy as the fare is only $3!
And no it has not escaped my notice that my IRL home city of Auckland has zero Airport Lines after decades of mucking around, yet I can catch two (one from each airport) in Manukau Ranges.
The point?
JUST GET ON WITH IT!
