Celebrating 200,000 cims. Also Go Fish?
This city is built using the Volchoria Map from @paradoxinteractive Mods: Volchoria Map
This is a special post celebrating Manukau Ranges’s milestone at 200,000 cims (aka a very large city).
200,000 Cims
200,000 is not easy as game wise it begins to define a very large city.
A very large city like any very large city in the world that has all the mechanics, people, and environment that come together giving life to it. It also marks the beginning of a mature city rather than a fast-action developing city as it goes from 0 to this milestone.
And with a mature city the game play changes as urban renewal becomes more prominent than greenfield sprawl. In this video I reflect back on Manukau Ranges as it grew from 0 to 200,000, and where to next as we push to 300,000.
My largest cities
- Manukau in CS1 at 384,000
- my largest CS2 city was Cape Solaria at 300,000 (also second largest city ever).
So, a wee way to go for Manukau.

Go Fish?
Yes, we get to GO FISH, well somewhat.
Colosal Order has left the mechanics for fish as a resource that can be extracted and processed into food much like grain, vegetables, and livestock.
The catch is that mechanic is turned off although it shows up in your cargo system. A mod recently came out that allows you to activate the basics of the fishing system in CS2 so you can catch those fish and turn it into fish fingers!
Time to do a you know who as He caught fish to feed a lot of people?
Here is to 300,000 Cims!
