This city is built using the Volchoria Map from @paradoxinteractive Mods: Volchoria Map
Each blog post will contain either:
- The standard X.X series where I undertake City Building along with talking Planning Methodology.
- The Manukau Rides X.X series where I jump on the transit system and travel around. Often used to see where problems might occur best seen at ground level.
Mind the Gap. Manukau Ranges 4.x
We still have a housing shortage in Manukau Ranges. But we also have run out of industrial land as well compounding the situation.
Enter Huntly, the little town that could!
Huntly was established as a mining and industrial town to support the main city. Oil, coal, and factories work night and day to bring in the goods, while the Huntly – City Centre (rail) Line connect the district to the main city.
Manukau Ranges 4.0 covers the establishment of Huntly, the establishment of the new regional airport, and even two train rides from the town, and airport to the City Centre and back again! While Manukau Ranges 4.1 we go from minding the gap to linking Huntly to the main city, complete with a bus ride to check it all out!

This time did I address the situations facing Manukau Ranges? And how did I handle the Spatial Form with that big six lane arterial road? I suppose we might find out when we return in Manukau Ranges 5.0.
