The Infrastructure that Binds: Waikato – Part 2.2. #CitiesSkylines2

After some roadblocks, preparations for first residents and businesses to move into Waikato continue to take shape

The glue that binds a city together continues apace with the placing of the (larger) public infrastructure into Waikato. As I note in the video, some of the more localised infrastructure like local roads, and pocket parks will be added when I place down the Zones (in the upcoming Part 3), while transit will also be added then as well.

So, lets bring this home with the infrastructure that binds as we prepare for those Zones, and equally prepare for our first residents and businesses!

Note: City building starts around the 8:45 mark after my ramble about the last four weeks as of this video including those irksome Crash to Desktops (aka those roadblocks)

Series

  • Part 1: Introducing the Waikato
  • Part 2.0: Continued Infrastructure Building
  • Part 2.1: Waikato and That Infrastructure
  • Part 2.2: Nearly there: finishing that infrastructure
  • Part 3.0: THE ZONES!
The founding area of Waikato nearly ready for the zones and first residents. Note: there is some building already underway. This is from when I had to run the Simulator in the game’s safe mode to diagnose and fix a Crash to Desktop issue.
