A game of two halves as work continues on the City Centre
Layering the Cake in a game of two halves? Yep that is what it comes down to when building something as complex as your City Centre. In 6.1 I layer some cake as infrastructure work continues for Waikato City Centre. But much more to be done on the cake before we can enjoy it! And yes the video is also a game of two halves. See if you can spot the difference in the lower right corner sometime through the video.
In seriousness though the first half of the video gives an example of laying down the different infrastructure pieces that will support the City Centre in functioning properly. Given if I was to video the entire works done for 6.1 you would have 10 hours of raw video. Thus the second half I review the work done to complete 6.1 and that layer of the cake that will eventually make the City Centre! And as you will hear if it takes me this long with the game imagine how long in real life planning and city building! But at the same time I engage in a lot of future proofing as well. Pedestrian Malls that become Transit Malls with Light Rail added in later on demonstrating that future proofing, and modularity of a rail based system.
I also mention the caveat aka Game Update that could pause the work on Waikato for a few weeks.
