Industrial Expansion of Waikato Continues
Bob the Builder can he build it? Well he certainly can’t if we don’t have the concrete and steel to build with available. Nor can we get consumer products including electronics and cars. So we better set up the mines and quarries, build those steel and concrete plants, line up some roads and rail AND…. hmmm more workers needed.
Speaking of more workers needed. While working on the 5.2 the city was already short on workers. To add the two new major industries of steel and concrete would have made the existing shortage worse. To that extent Waikato Gardens was established on the other side of the Waikato River. It is designed to hold 20-25,000 new residents as well as a supporting Metropolitan Centre for commercial, office, and civic infrastructure.
I will be making special edition videos to cover Waikato Gardens, as well as two new mods which step up the realism of the game! Meanwhile Steel and Concrete has indeed built Waikato and continues to build Waikato!
